BMF: The World Is Ours

What does this have to do with hip hop?

BMF were about to sign a distribution deal with E1 Entertainment (formerly Koch Records) before members received Federal Indictments.

There’s nothing in my mind that makes me think BMF Entertainment, couldn’t have been one of the biggest independent hip hop labels.

For example:

1) Being based in Atlanta had enabled BMF to build up important contacts in the hip hop industry.

2) They obviously had the finance to compete with their competition.

3) BMF artists such as Blue Davinci were selling 1000’s of mixtapes and DVD’S without support from radio and video networks.

4) One member of BMF was alreday a Grammy nominated producer, who had worked with the likes of Justin Timberlake.
