Spotlight :Bandcamp

Bandcamp is a website that allows artists to stream their own music and lets the artist choose the price of the product.

I like to see indies & unsigned artists using sites like Bandcamp &  Tunecore, because it cuts out unneccessary middlemen and offers an option for feedback, which is vital for any business (customer service – after sales service).

Here are few I’ve been listening to for a while.

Starlito – Starlito’s Way 3: Life Insurance

Sounds Like: Young Buck meets Z-Ro

Based around: Tennessee

Standout Record: Life Insurance

Brian Ennals – Untitled

Sounds Like: Kid Cudi with better lyrics, but with less of an indie rock influence & less singing.

Based around: DMV

Standout Record: Beeper

SpitGame, Shells Scorcese & M-Lito – As Promised

Sounds like: similar to DJ Clue’s -A Team/Ransom & Hitchcock but with more of an emphasis on concepts then punchlines.

Based around: Atlanta & Philadelphia

Standout Record: Pressure Busts Pipes
